-PREMIERE: A new commission by Boston Baroque for string quartet & organ will have its world premiere on 5/30 and 5/31. The concert will also include music from 17th century Europe and Ottoman Istanbul. More info here.

-NEW RELEASE: My new album entitled "THE ELECTRIC OUD MAN SPEAKS and you listen..." is out! This album showcases a side of me which I discovered when I took up to play my custom built one-of-a-kind electric oud for the first time about two years ago... Imagine Stevie Ray Vaughan and electric Miles Davis meet at a Turkish coffeehouse :) Listen here.

-Petition: About 50,000 fully AI-generated tracks are being uploaded to streaming platforms on a daily basis. As AI-generated music is rapidly entering and flooding streaming platforms, there is currently no meaningful differentiation between human-created work and machine-generated output. I believe this needs to be addressed through copyright law, and that fair monetization frameworks must be established as quickly as possible. After a great deal of research and reflection, I’ve launched a petition calling for clearer differentiation and fairer policies, so human creative labor is not quietly devalued. I would be truly grateful for your support. Support here.

-The premier recording of "The Triumph" and "Devran" was released on August 15! The album is available to stream on all digital platforms. If you wish to purchase a CD, with a 24-page booklet, click here. Both pieces have been performed by Blue Heron and DÜNYA. While "Devran" is an a cappella piece, "The Triumph" is written for choir, bowed tanbur (long-necked lute), ney (end-blown flute) and two percussionists. The texts of both pieces are by Turkish Sufi poets.
